TunnelHack II

Return to the Tunnels

Taking on the role of a humble teaching assistant, you must venture into the steam tunnels of the university and battle a terrible monster. Only with its destruction can peace and funding return to your department.

This game is my current project. I intend to release it as open source when it reaches a playable stage of development. It is being implemented in Python using pygame and the Ostendo Resource Manager, which will also be released as free software when it is finished.

Aaron Gallagher, who ported Steam Tunnel Hack to python and is reponsible for various enhancements to the Java version, and Jason Negroni, a Computer Science student at CSU Chico, are joining the designer of the original game, Bryce Schroeder, in this project.

TunnelHack II is the sequel to the character-based RPG Steam Tunnel Hack. It is a graphical combat-oriented turn-based RPG. It can be played over the net with other humans.

TunnelHack II retains the same off-beat humor as the original game, while expanding on its scope and playability.
